Perihelion was conceived and created by Jennifer Ley in 1998 for WebdelSol -- the first online magazine to offer round table discussions, theory and practice articles and a meeting ground for the many divergent voices which made and continue to make up the every changing and evolving online writing community. Its mission was taken up by Riding the Meridian in 1999 when Ms. Ley ended her relationship with WebdelSol.
